Welcome from the Headteacher

East Crompton St James’ is a small one form entry Primary School and part of a hard federation with St Thomas’ Moorside Primary school, a few miles away. The schools share the same Governing body and resources across the two schools, including my leadership. Each school has a deputy headteacher who takes responsibility for the day to day running of their school.

Our principles are simple; we work in partnership with parents to provide a happy and purposeful environment for our pupils to learn and reach their potential. We teach a broad and balanced curriculum that is enjoyable, imaginative, creative and challenging ensuring independence of every child.

Staff at school value each child within a Christian Ethos of care, co-operation and friendship. We pride ourselves on having strong relationships with all members of the school and church community and this is integral to the success of our church school. All pupils achieve their true potential by being provided with a strong Christian foundation alongside the highest level of teaching and pastoral support, in order to reach the highest level of academic and spiritual achievement possible.

OUR VALUES

At East Crompton St James, Christian values are at the heart of all that we do and all that we are in school and in the wider community. We work together as one, having confidence in everyone’s potential to persevere whilst showing courage, respect and trust to all.

Well, what can we say. We have had an amazing week 1 of our Summer HAF Club. An action packed week with over 120 individual children attending over the 4 days.
We have had lots of trips, good food, craft, sports and most importantly fun!
This is all made possible by the funding from the #DepartmentOfEducation Department for Education I love Oldham #HAF2025
We are so thankful to get the funding we do to run these clubs. We can’t wait to welcome all the children for the next 3 weeks.
If your child has attended the club can you please scan the below QR code and complete the parent survey. This does help massively in receiving repeat funding.
See you Monday!
